Every year since 1900 gets two YouTube Shorts: January to June, then July to December. Each one is under a minute and tells the stories that shaped that year.

How an episode is made

Every fact has a source
Dates, names and numbers are checked against at least one source, listed in each video's description.
Real archive photos first
Pictures come from public archives such as the U.S. National Archives, the German Federal Archive and Wikimedia Commons, credited in the description.
AI only where no photo exists
When an event was never photographed, a scene may be illustrated with AI. It is always labelled "AI illustration" on screen and marked as altered content on YouTube.
